Lexington, Ohio – The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, America’s premier road racing circuit, brought out impressive numbers of karters from several participating series from across the United States this past weekend, June 19-21.
The AKRA National Road Race Series kicked off the 2020 season at Mid-Ohio with the event hosted by the Dart Kart Club. Hats off to the DKC board of directors and all the staff and volunteers who tirelessly worked to make this event happen, as well as the Mid-Ohio management and staff for their efforts and dedication to karting to make this event a big success in these difficult times.
Friday practice entries in excess of 200, race entries in the mid 600’s, and participating drivers of 250 for the three-day event were definitely a thing to see. With both paddocks full and many pitted in the overflow areas, the event was one for the record books for each participating series.

Last but not least, a big thanks to YOU the racers and staff for the effort you put in to making this event a huge success and that includes the folks that chose to stay home for the best interest of Karting and personal health. Thank you to all.
