TIFTON, Ga. — The American Kart Road-Racing Allliance (AKRA), in partnership with Hoosier Kartsport, has officially released the 2025 Rules and Class Structure for the National Road Racing Series.
These updates reflect our organization’s ongoing commitment to improving competition, safety, and accessibility for road racers across all divisions.
While many divisions remain unchanged, there are several updates to some categories include Stock Honda, CIK 100 (KA), Super Kart and Enduro class. Most updates are listed below. Click here to view / download the 2025 Rulebook.
Key Changes for the 2025 Season:
- Battery-Powered Karts Prohibited – Battery-powered karts are not permitted in any Road Race class.
- Cadet Class Expansion – The Cadet class will now be offered at Nelson Ledges in addition to all WKC (Woodbridge Kart Club) events.
- New Class Additions – A CIK 100 Medium AC (KA) class has been added. There is now a Lite, Medium and Heavy CIK 100.
- Shifter Stock 125 Lite & Heavy Updates –
- Stock Honda 385 is now Shifter Stock 125 Lite F1 & F2, with the RoK Shifter engine added.
- Stock Honda 420 is now Shifter Stock 125 Heavy F1 & F2, with the RoK Shifter engine added.
- Enduro Class Adjustments –
- Enduro Controlled (KA100 & VLR) weight changed to 380 lbs, with a minimum flex length of 7.5 inches.
- Enduro Sportsman Lite & Heavy combined into Enduro Sportsman F1 & F2 at 400 lbs.
- Enduro TaG 100 AC F1 & F2 now allows the RLV L3 pipe, with a minimum flex length of 7.5 inches for both L3 and L4.
- New Super Kart Class – Introduction of the Super Kart Super Single F1 & F2 division.
The 2025 AKRA / Hoosier Kartsport National Road Racing Series will kick off May 16-18 with the Woodbridge Kart Club-hosted Nationals at the North Carolina Center for Automotive Research (NCCAR), followed by events at Mid-Ohio, Nelson Ledges, Summit Point and Pittsburgh.
