TIFTON, Ga. — AKRA is reminding all competitors to verify their current membership status and expiration date, particularly racers competing for AKRA / Hoosier Kartsport National Road Racing Series or Ultimate Kart Championship presented by TS Racing/Vega Tire (UKC) points.
Unlike memberships that expire for everyone at the end of a calendar year, AKRA memberships expire based on the approximate date the membership was originally activated or renewed. As a result, expiration dates vary throughout the year from member to member.
It is each competitor’s responsibility to know his or her membership expiration date and ensure that an active AKRA membership is maintained when required. A valid AKRA membership is required for competitors earning National or UKC championship year-end awards package.
AKRA provides membership verification by email to all members when memberships are processed, and membership confirmations are current through today. Competitors unsure of their status are encouraged to search their email inbox for previous correspondence from AKRA.
Via the membership product on our website, there is also an option to purchase a printed and laminated membership card, which many racers do take advantage of.
As a general guideline, if you search your inbox and cannot locate a membership email from AKRA dated within the previous 12 months, there is a good chance your membership is no longer current.
Competitors have several options to purchase or renew an AKRA membership:
- Online: Memberships can be purchased or renewed through the e-commerce platform at akraracing.com/products/road-racing/.
- By Mail: A printable membership application is available on the AKRA website and may be completed and mailed with payment.
- Dart Kart Club Events: Memberships may be purchased or renewed as part of the event registration process.
- Woodbridge Kart Club Events: Memberships may be purchased or renewed at the track during the event.
AKRA strongly encourages competitors to verify their membership status before arriving at an event, particularly those pursuing National or UKC points. Waiting until after an event to question membership status can create unnecessary confusion regarding points eligibility.
Maintaining a current membership is ultimately the responsibility of the competitor. Taking a few minutes to check your expiration date and renew when necessary will help ensure uninterrupted eligibility for AKRA National and UKC championship points.
AKRA thanks all members for their support of our organization.
