Gingerman Raceway Joins as New September Venue
TIFTON, Ga. — The American Kart Road-Racing Alliance (AKRA) is pleased to announce the Hoosier Kartsport National Road Racing Series schedule for the 2026 season. The program will once again feature five major events at premier road racing circuits, hosted in partnership with longtime sanctioned clubs Dart Kart Club and Woodbridge Kart Club (WKC).
A key change for 2026 comes in the fall portion of the calendar. With the recent closure of Pittsburgh International Race Complex, AKRA and Dart Kart will move their traditional September event to Gingerman Raceway in South Haven, Michigan — a popular and flowing 2.14-mile road course that has long been a favorite among kart racers in the Midwest.
“We’re excited to deliver another strong lineup of events next season,” said AKRA owner Van Gilder. “The officials at Dart Kart and Woodbridge continue to provide exceptional events at some of the best road courses in the East, and the addition of GingerMan offers racers a new track to challenge and enjoy to close out the season. We’re also pleased that consistency has remained with NCCAR, Mid-Ohio, Nelson Ledges and Summit Point all on or near their traditional dates.”
2026 AKRA Road Racing Schedule:
May 15–17 — North Carolina Center for Automotive Research, NCCAR – Roanoke Rapids, NC (hosted by WKC)
June 19–21 — Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course – Lexington, OH (hosted by Dart Kart)
July 17–19 — Nelson Ledges Road Course – Garrettsville, OH (hosted by Dart Kart)
August 14–16 — Summit Point Motorsports Park – Summit Point, WV (hosted by WKC)
September 18–20 — Gingerman Raceway – South Haven, MI (hosted by Dart Kart)
