CONCORD, N.C. — The National Karting Alliance (NKA), the American Kart Racing Alliance (AKRA), and the World Karting Association (WKA) are united in their commitment to ensuring that karting remains a safe, respectful, and professional environment.
Recent incidents across the sport have made it clear that on- and off-track violence, physical altercations, and serious unsportsmanlike conduct cannot be tolerated.
The leadership of NKA, AKRA, and WKA is aligned on this principle and is actively working together to develop enhanced standards and procedures to address such behavior in a consistent and effective manner.
As this work progresses, competitors, teams, and participants should be aware that serious misconduct at sanctioned events—regardless of sanctioning body—may be subject to review and potential disciplinary action by the applicable organization(s), in accordance with their respective rules and authority.
Our shared objective is straightforward: to protect competitors, families, officials, promoters, and staff, and to preserve the integrity of the sport. Karting should be defined by competition, respect, and sportsmanship—not violence.
This is karting.
This is racing.
Violence will not be tolerated.
